(Research):Patricia L. Palazzi, 71, Bellmeade Manor, Altoona, died Saturday at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Philipsburg, a daughter of Thomas Beals and Virginia Smith. She married Richard J. Palazzi March 31, 1956, in Winchester, VA and he died Aug. 20, 1998. She is survived by a son, Michael J. Palazzi and wife, Lynne, of Altoona; two sisters: Barbara Civiello and Wanda Churchill, both of Altoona; a brother, Thomas Beals and wife, Tina, of Altoona; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren. Mrs. Palazzi worked as an LPN at Epworth Manor until retirement and was a beautician in the Altoona area for many years. She graduated from Altoona High School and attended nursing school in Huntingdon. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed crocheting. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for them and her friends. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Greenwood United Methodist Church, Pastor Joe Fleck officiating. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Scaglione Funeral Home, Altoona.
