Hi, it's James Walsh. I can't find marriage record for them either . Martin Walsh's mom was Mary Quinn. She married him age 14- 16. She is on 1901 and 1911 census living in the house with James and his mother Alice Walsh in Cappaduff West. Two more of Mary Quinn's siblings are living with them. Katie (my grand aunt) who was very close to me in London said her mom Mary Quinn was a child when she married and was not allowed to sleep with her husband until she turned 18. She had to sleep with her mother-in-law , in her bed. Auntie Katie (grand aunt) told me James Walsh died in Scotland. (??) Her mother married Philip Maree of Glensaul , that was her dad.
James Walsh was a shoemaker. When my grandad saw any of us with a new pair of shoes he would say: Well wear and soon tear!

Mary Quinn had a sister Kate (Catherine) who also married a Maree. Then to complicate matters Martin Walsh married Nora Maree (Meara).
