Jim proudly served our country in the US Air Force for 20 years and fought in the Vietnam War. James also worked for General Electric for 15 years.

Jim was Commander of VFWs NH District 3 and was active as a community volunteer in retirement. He served on Dover's HUB Family Resource Center Board and volunteered with the police and corrections departments. But by far, Jim's greatest passion was in helping fellow veterans with their after-service needs. Jim was a tireless advocate in helping veterans to obtain VA services for medical and emotional needs. He was also a regular advocate with Senator Shaheen for veteran needs. Jim was most proud of helping to build and open the new Somersworth VA Clinic, greatly improving support to local veterans.

James is predeceased by his parents, brother Roger, sister Bea and brother-in-law Gene.
