Darrin leaves behind his wife, Patricia (Lyden) Uphold and children, Dallas Franklin Uphold at home, Roberta (Todd) Robinson of Hubbard and James (Kristie) Marshall of Chicago. He had two grandchildren, Daniel Robinson (Hubbard) and Bridgete Marshall (Chicago).

Darrin was the son of Jack and Martha Uphold of Berlin Center.

He also leaves his brothers, Troy (Shaunda) Uphold of Homeworth and Andrew (Heather) Uphold of Streetsboro. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Kathleen (Bob Pachell) and Barbara (Dean) Cracraft of Edinburgh, Pa.

Darrin served in the U.S. Army from 1987 to 1990 and served in the reserves from 1990 to 1997.

He was a member of the American Legion in Sebring. He owned and operated Uphold Construction with his brother, Andrew.

Darrin enjoyed taking guitar lessons with his son, Dallas and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed Penguin football and hockey games and supported Mount Union football.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Uphold.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Father Robert Edwards officiating.

Calling hours will be held today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Full military honors provided by the Salem Honor Guard will follow the services at the funeral home.

(Research):AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, Thomas Francis Lyden, Jr., age 65, of Austintown, passed into the Lord's embrace.

He was born in Youngstown on October 31, 1954 to Thomas "Babe" and Rosemary (Timlin) Lyden.

Thomas graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School and went on to work as a press operator at Commercial Intertech until retirement.

He was a volunteer fireman for Austintown Township in the 1980's and early 1990's.
Thomas' hobbies included fishing, being around muscle cars and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice (McNally) Lyden; children, Thomas S. (Lora) Lyden of Cleveland and Sean M. Lyden of Austintown; granddaughter, Lauren Rose Lyden of Cleveland and siblings, Bridget (Gary deceased) McDaniel, William Lyden, Eileen (James deceased) Hyland, Katie (Ralph) Farina.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.

Family to receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, OH 44515.

Mary A. McNally was born on April 26, 1946 in Youngstown, Mahoning County, OhioG. She and Thomas Lydon were married on March 21, 1998 in OhioG. She died on July 30, 2020, at age 74, in Youngstown, Mahoning County, OhioG.
(Research):AUSTINTOWN — Due to the current health concerns, a private Mass of Christian burial was held for Mary Alice McNally-Lyden, 74, who passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020, with her family by her side. The celebrant of the mass was Fr. Simon Mino at St Christine's Church.

Mary Alice was born April 26,1946, in Youngstown, the first daughter of Jerome F. and Florence Toomey McNally. She was raised on the North Side, attending St. Edward Parish and school. Having graduated from Ursuline High School in 1964, she then attended Youngstown State University before being hired to work for the FBI in Washington D.C. Upon returning to Youngstown, she began a career in the steel industry, working as a steel buyer and purchasing agent for Fitzsimmons Steel, Inland Steel (Chicago) and Suburban Steel (Cleveland). In order to be closer to family, she returned home again and was employed at Commercial Intertech and Liberty Steel.

She married Thomas F. Lyden Jr. on March 21, 1998. Tom preceded her in death in December 2019.

Mary Alice worked passionately for her brothers' political campaigns, but her greatest job was being Aunt "Ali" to her numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she adored. Mary Al was also devoted to caring for her mother, until she herself became ill.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Tom, she was preceded in death by her brother, Judge James McNally; sister-in-law, Sandra McNally; her in-laws, Thomas "Babe" and Rosemary Lyden and brothers-in- law James Hyland and Gary McDaniel.

She is survived by her siblings, Jerome (Barb Patterson), Patty (Pat) Desimone, Peggy (Joe) Pellegrini and Kathleen McNally; stepsons, Tom and Sean Lyden; and in-laws, Eileen Hyland, Bridget McDaniel, Katie (Ralph) Farina and William Lyden.
