(Research):John "Jack" A Stanton, age 73, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born September 15, 1945 in Sharon, PA to the late Thomas and Eva (Schweiss) Stanton. He was a graduate of Sharpsville High School and attended trade school. He moved to Ohio and was a truck driver with the Union Local 436. He enjoyed playing golf, watching tv and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was on the Huron County men's pool league for over 15 years, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his former wife of 21 years, Mary Stanton of Norwalk; siblings, Beverlee Stanton of Norwalk, Tom (Sandy) Stanton of Waco, TX; half-siblings, William "Bill" Lenhart of Monroeville and LouAnn Collins of Florence, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Kathleen Baker.
Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk, OH 44857.
