Her husband is John W. Wylam, with whom she celebrated her 59th wedding anniversary on March 16.
Born in Old Forge, daughter of the late John and Maryann Duffy Smallacombe, she settled in Taylor 30 years ago. She was educated in Old Forge schools. She worked for Topps Chewing Gum Inc., Duryea and Scranton, for 39 years. She was a member of both the Teamsters Local 229 and St. Ann's Basilica, West Scranton.
Als surviving are daughters Kathleen Davis, Somerset, NJ., and Maryann Wylam, Exeter; sons John, Bellevue, Neb., Henry, Hanover Township, Paul, South Plainfield, NJ., and James, Duryea; 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Paul, on June 1, 2000; and a brother, Peter.

(Research):ohn "Jack" W. Wylam, 86, a longtime resident of Taylor, died Monday morning under the care of Northeast Hospice at Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife, the former Mary Smallacombe, died July 17, 2003.
Born in Old Forge, on Nov. 23, 1924, son of the late John and Lillian Williams Wylam, Jack was educated in Old Forge schools and worked for Garlet Manufacturing before retirement. He was a member of St. Ann's Basilica, Scranton.
Surviving are his children, four sons, John Wylam and wife, Martha, Bellevue, Neb.; Henry Wylam and wife, Christine, Hanover Twp.; Paul Wylam and wife, Gail, South Plainfield, N.J.; and James Wylam and wife, Janice, Duryea; two daughters, Kate Davis and husband, Ken, Ackworth, Ga.; and Mary Ann Wylam, New York, N.Y.; a brother, Donald Wylam, Taylor; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Patrick Paul Wylam; five sisters, Lilly Mae Williams, Leah Pryor, Elizabeth Evans, Nancy DiSimone and infant, Elizabeth Wylam; and four brothers, Evan, Ben, Henry and Sabbath Wylam.
His family would like to express its gratitude to the doctors and staff of Regional Hospital and Northeast Hospice and especially to Dr. Luigi Spagnolini for his years of care.
Private graveside services to be conducted by the Rev. Francis Landry, C.P., pastor of St. Ann's Basilica Parish, will be held today in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge, with interment to follow.
