(Research):Retired USMC Master Sergeant Kevin Michael McGowan, 54, died March 20, 2016 at his Jacksonville home after a six-year battle with cancer. A Graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors. Mr. McGowan was born in Wood-Ridge, NJ and was the son of the late John and Ann Marie Moran McGowan. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Rosemary McGowan of the home; daughter, son in law, and grandson, Ashley, Tyler, and Layton Michael Grinstead of Bowling Green, KY; daughter and son in law, Brittany and Zachary Wilhelm of Maryville, TN; daughter, Courtney McGowan of Charlotte, NC; one brother, John McGowan of Little Falls, NJ; four sisters, Eileen Cronin of Sparta, NJ, Kathleen Hoehl of Wood-Ridge, NJ, Maureen Kagdis of New Foundland, NJ and Patricia Barteck of Wood-Ridge, NJ.
