Mary could have been from Glen Mask, Arderry, Croaghrim, Tonlegee or Kenury. If this Mary were a sister to Patrick, John, Philip, and Austin McGing of Arderry, her son Philip O'Brien would have married his first cousin, Bridget McGing. Although frowned upon by the Catholic Church, such marriages were not unheard of, since older generations subscribed to the belief of marrying their own people. If Mary was not a sister, she was probably a cousin. Ann O'Brien, Bohaun, married Daniel McGing, Tonlegee. Requiem Mass on Tuesday (July 18th) at 11:00am with the funeral proceeding to Aughavale cemetery.
