(Research):May 20, 1924 newspaper article said that James McGing, 19 of 33 Sunday Wells, Newcastle, a miner employed at the Burley Pit, Midland Coal Coke and Iron, Apedale, was admitted to teh N.S. Infirmary shortly before midday suffering from severe injuries sustained through being struck with a slack rope in teh pit. It is feared he has a fractured pelvis.
