Edward Wyatt was two years old when his father brought him to Jamestown, Virginia in 1621. He returned to England with his parents in 1625. Later in 1642, his uncle, Sir Francis Wyatt, at that time Governor of Virginia for the second time, brought Edward Wyatt and his brothers and sisters back to Virginia. Edward and his brother, George Wyatt had land grants to plantations where the town of Williamburg, Virginia now stands. The National Geographic Magazine in an issue about Williamsburg, VA. mentions the fact that when the capital of the Virginia Colony was to be placed at Williamsburg, that the House of Burgess and the Crown bought the land from Edward and George Wyatt.

Edward Wyatt then removed to Gloucester County, Virginia and settled on a plantation which he called Boxley. He had several children, Conquest, Francis, Haute and Edward. Edward died young and is buried at old Petsworth Episcopal Church Cemetery with his father and mother in Virginia.

George Wyatt was born on December 12, 1619 in Boxley, Kent, EnglandG. He died on January 15, 1671, at age 51, in VirginiaG.

Family tradition holds that Francis married Elizabeth Kennon. (Colonial Families of the Southern States of America: A History and Genealogy, Stella Pickett Hardy, page 543.)

Francis was a vestryman of Petsworth Parish from 1710 to 1728. In 1726 he became a church warden.

He purchased about 3000 acres of land in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia.

Francis' son Francis wrote a letter dated May 19, 1732, mentioning his father's death.

Conquest Wyatt was born in 1672 in VirginiaG. He died in 1745, at age ~73.
