He then moved to Chicago, where he married Mary C. Duffin on August 13, 1913. His wife was born in Chicago on October 4, 1892. In 1917 they moved to Youngstown, where she died October 3, 1970, at the age of 78. My father still lives at his home at 153 Byron Street, Youngstown, Ohio, and is 86 years old. John had ten living children, namely, John, Anna., Thomas, Richard, Martin, Catherine, Lawrence, Dorothy and Maureen. See Section X on "John J. Lynch, My Father" for further information.

Mary Lynch was born on February 1, 1877 in Kilbride, Galway, IrelandG. She and Patrick Coyne were married in 1890 in IrelandG. She died on October 10, 1940, at age 63, in Chicago, Cook, IllinoisG.

(Research):Patrick and Mary Coyne lived on the farm of Patrick's father, John Coyne, which was located between two mountains between Cornamona and Crinlin in County Galway, which was about 5 miles from the Lynch Farm. The post office was Cornamona. The Coyne farm was even more difficult to work than the Lynch Farm.

Patrick Coyne was relatively short and a hard worker. He fit into the traditional role as a new member of the Lynch Family. He was liked and accepted by the entire family.

Patrick and Mary Coyne had a happy and fruitful marriage, which resulted in nine children. Even with hard work the Coyne farm was insufficient to support such a family, and Patrick Coyne went to England practically every summer to work in order to supplement the family income. Mary Coyne and her father-in-law, John Coyne, worked the farm while her husband was away.

Mary Coyne's family also cooperated with her by helping her manage her growing family. As new babies were born, her father and mother took one or more of the older and smaller children to their farm and helped raise them for varying lengths of time.

John Lynch Coyne was born on August 4, 1895 in IrelandG. He and Catherine Derrig were married in 1920 in Youngstown, Mahoning County, OhioG. He died on October 19, 1984, at age 89, in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OhioG.

YOUNGSTOWN – Jean A. Coyne, 76, of Baymar Drive, passed away at 5:57 p.m. Wednesday in her home surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Jean was born March 5, 1930 in Campbell, the daughter of John and Katherine (Dunda) Dubyak Sr.

A 1947 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, Jean retired from the Youngstown Municipal Clerk of Courts Office, where she was a deputy clerk in the criminal and traffic division for 18 years.

She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown.

Jean was married July 14, 1951 to John "Bud" P. Coyne and they were married for 39 years until his passing July 4, 1998.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Jean is survived by five children and six grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by a son, Jack Coyne; a son-in-law, Tom Squeglia; brothers, Michael, John Jr., Joseph and George Dubyak; a sister, Marie Schuster; and her twin sister, Jayne Rufh.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Sept. 17, at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, where closing will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, with the Rev. Fr. Stephen Popovich officiating.

Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of those who helped their mother during her illness, especially to Dr. Robert Spratt and his staff, MVI Home Care and Hospice, and to Valley Home Health Care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in memory of Jean Coyne Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087 (Please specify for Colon Cancer Research Fund No. 305332).
