Phyllis Lou Philips was born on August 25, 1930 in PennsylvaniaG. She and Richard E. Brophy were married on September 4, 1951 in TexasG. She died on July 23, 2016, at age 85, in TexasG.

Phyllis, the daughter of Irish and Scottish Immigrants, graduated high school from Our Lady of Victory in Columbus, Ohio. She married the late Richard E. Brophy, Sr. and lead a very busy life in Columbus, Ohio for many years, serving as Den and Pack Mother in the Boy Scouts of America with her boys.
Later, while living in Stone Mountain, Georgia she was always on the go; she was involved with Little League and Mighty Mite Baseball, football and cheerleading events, and served as PTA mom for her children's various classes.
While living in Waco, Texas in the 70's Phyllis was an advocate for women in business and served in various capacities within local business associations and professional women's organizations. She continued to stay busy with her children and was involved with Midway High School Panthers athletic and PTA events.
After returning to Columbus, Ohio she obtained her college degree at Ohio Dominican University with a degree in Accounting in1981.
In her retirement years living in Marshall, Texas, Phyllis became extremely involved at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She taught at St. Joseph School, facilitated for many years the English as a Second Language Program at the Church, was a Eucharistic Minister and Reader and served on numerous committees.
She enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, and tending her roses. Phyllis was active for many years with the Friends of the Public Library.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ellen Ronan Phillips and William Phillips of Columbus, Ohio; her brothers, William Phillips of Columbus, Ohio and Ronald Phillips of Gautier, Mississippi.

William Donald Philips was born on January 3, 1931 in PennsylvaniaG. He and Angela Filchia were married on November 13, 1950 in IndianaG. He died on April 22, 2005, at age 74.

Ronald Lee Philips was born on February 12, 1935 in PennsylvaniaG. He and Jean Carol Fleming were married. He died on July 13, 2008, at age 73, in MississippiG.
