Born on October 1, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Edwin and Mary Brice.

Sylvia lived for her family, loved her grandchildren and cherished her friends. She was an avid U of M fan and enjoyed gambling and camping.

Sylvia was also a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Red Hat Society and a graduate of Clay High School.

She was employed for over 30 years by Oregon City Schools.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sandra Wieczorek.

Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years, Robert R. Roe; sons, Robert E. (Laura) and Jeff (Lori) Roe; grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren, Brennan and Alex; and brother, John (Kathy) Brice.

Friends may call at the Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, Ohio, Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 649 Elmore St., Toledo, Ohio 43605, where she will lie instate beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment services will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
