Mrs. Ethel Mae Yingling, 78, of 617 N. 6th St. Bellwood, died Saturday morning, April 8, 1995, at Altoona Hospital following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 6, 1916, in Bellwood, the daughter of Ferdinand S. and Ida B. (Hostler) Troxell. She married Oliver H. Yingling on May 18, 1936 in Cumberland, Md. Mrs. Yingling was a member of Olivet Baptist Church, Bellwood. She was a graduate of Bellwood High School. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Janet E. Weaver; two sons, Harold E. and Dale W. of Brockway; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Olivet Baptist Church, Bellwood.

Oliver H. Yingling, 82, 617 N. 6th St., Bellwood, died Sunday evening, Feb. 18, 1996, at University Park Nursing Center, State College, following an extended illness. He was born Aug. 19, 1913, in Altoona, the son of Alonzo and Martha (Machtley) Yingling. He married Ethel Mae Troxell May 18, 1936, in Cumberland, Md. She died April 8, 1995. Mr. Yingling was a member of Olivet Baptist Church, Bellwood. He was employed as a car repairman of Conrail was retired as secretary of the Transport Workers Union in July 1978. Mr. Yingling was a graduate of Altoona High School. He was a avid hunter and gunsmith. Surviving are a daughter, Janet E. Weaver; two sons, Harold E. and Dale W. of Brockway; a brother, Thomas, a sister, Margaret Lane; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood.

(Research):Betty (Long) Troxell, 92, Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, formerly of 2818 Maple Ave., Altoona, died Monday afternoon at the home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Irvin and Mary Louise (Zeigler) Long. She married D. Harold Troxell Feb. 4, 1944, in Tyrone. He died Aug. 30, 1993. Surviving are three daughters: Suzanne Harter and husband, Geoffrey, of Ossining, N.Y., Linda Nedimyer and husband, Vince, of Altoona and Patricia Cunningham and husband, Dana, of Coral Springs, Fla.; six grandchildren: Keri Harrington, Vince Nedimyer Jr., David Harter, Kim Cowan and Travis and Alison Cunningham; and two great-grandchildren. Betty was a 1935 graduate of Tyrone High School. She formerly was employed as a bank teller for Mid-State Bank. Mrs. Troxell was a member of First Lutheran Church, Altoona, where she served as choir director and sang in a quartet with her husband. She also served as a choir director at Broad Avenue Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the choral society and a member of the music community. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at First Lutheran Church, Altoona, with the Rev. Denise Arpino officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.

(Research):Harold E. Yingling "Mule" or "The Builder," 77 of Flint Hill Virginia, passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at Heritage Hall in Front Royal.
Harold is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Jean E. Yingling and his parents, Oliver and Ethel Yingling.
"Mule," "The Builder," served in the US Army for a number of years and was a Master Carpenter by trade who enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and give his opinion on life issues.
He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Westbrook of Alexandria; a sister, Janet Weaver of Pennsylvania and a brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Norma Yingling of Pennsylvania and his granddaughter, Charlotte Westbrook of Alexandria.

Jean worked as a receptionist for an optometrist in Warrenton. She is survived by her husband, Harold E. Yingling; her daughter, Carrie Y. Westbrook, Alexandria, VA; her siblings, Morris F. Riley, Jr., Winchester, VA, Thomas W. Riley, Okeechobee, FL, Barbara Green, Las Cruces, NM, and Sandra K. Teasley, Raleigh, NC; a sister-in-law, Janet Elaine Weaver, Altoona, PA; brother-in-law, Dale William Yingling, Clarion, PA; and one granddaughter, Charlotte Westbrook.
