James Joseph Duffy Jr., 82, died on October 19, 2013. Jimmy was born on August 4, 1931, to James Joseph and Regina Tobler Duffy. A lifelong Mobilian, he was a graduate of University Military School, Marion Military Institute, and the University of Alabama where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He served in the United States Army in Fort Benning, Georgia during the Korean Conflict, earning the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He then attended the University Of Alabama School Of Law, graduating in 1957. He practiced law in Mobile for over fifty years, beginning with Inge & Twitty, and most recently with Inge, Twitty & Duffy. He was a member of the Mobile Bar Association and had the honor of serving as its president in 1983. He was also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and served as State Chairman in 1985.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hunter Williams Duffy, his son James Joseph Duffy III, Mobile, and his daughter Lucy Duffy Tankersley (Thomas), Montgomery. He is also survived by three granddaughters: Ashley Jordan Duffy, New York City, Corrie Hill Tankersley, and Ann Hunter Tankersley, both of Montgomery, and his sister Mary Jene Kayser (Julian). He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He was a former member of the Vestry and a Junior Warden.

A graveside service is planned for Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway.

Anne Hunter Williams Duffy died on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, in Mobile, Alabama. Hunter was born on May 19, 1931, in Anniston, Alabama, to the late Lucy and Howard Williams.

She and her husband Jimmy moved to Mobile in 1957 and were married for over 60 years, until his death in 2013.

She is survived by her son James Duffy, III, daughter Lucy Duffy Tankersley (Thomas) and her three granddaughters Ashley Duffy (New York City), Corrie Tankersley, and Ann Hunter Tankersley (Montgomery, Alabama). She is also survived by her sister, Betty Williams Tyler (Birmingham, Alabama).

There will be a visitation at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1 at the Parish Hall of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 in the Little Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilmer Hall or to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway. Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street.
