Oldest McGing
The question is how does this person fit with the theoretical lineage DNA is proposing? As one of the oldest, he/she could be a sibling to others we know of but are unaware of the sibling relationship. If a Male McGing/McGinn Ging of this line could Y-DNA test at least a 37 (but must stress 67 is better) we'd know more and could triangulate back to the shared ancester. Moving earlier in time here is all conjecture, but looking for evidence and DNA is a key piece.

There seem to be 2 Patrick McGings in Ballyveane, Galway. Marriage certs show 2 families where Patrick is the father but they are not the same man. Therefore not brothers either. This pPatrtick's son Patrick was not married twice, as MCs show unmarried for each of these sons. (Research):Padraig Canney is a dna cousin, but not sure how this all links into the main tree.
