THere is an Anne Mary McGing from Balloor West that married Patrick Gibbons in 1921

From a grand niece Ann - In 1909, Patrick McGing, a labourer, boarded at 204 Elliot St Newton MA (US City Directory Newton MA 1909). Patrick McGing, a fireman, boarded at 204 Wetherell St Newton MA (US City Directory Newton MA 1909) I found this confusing until I realized that these two streets become one at this point, coming from different directions - so the same address.

I was also confused about the labourer/ fireman matter. In Australia people who fight fires are called firemen, like the cartoon Fireman Sam in the UK. In the US they're fire fighters; firemen stoke boilers. So they're basically still labourers, except I'm hoping they were paid more because it would have been a horrible job.

In 1911 Patrick McGing, a fireman, boarded at 5 Crescent Square (US City Directory Newton MA 1909). In 1912 Patrick McGing has died 26th December 1912, aged 35.

Patrick McGing died on 26th December 1912 at Newton Hospital. He was a white male and was single. His date of birth was given as February 1877, making him 35 years 10 months and 4 days. His birthplace was County Mayo and his occupation was a fireman at the Saco-Pettee Co. Cause of death was bronchial pneumonia.
