Austin McGing was born on July 10, 1885 in Kinuary, Mayo, IrelandG.

Austin McGing was also known as Austin McGinn. Like brother James, sentenced to 19 months in jail for assault of Owen O'Malley in 1910. Believe he emigrated shortly after release.

His brother James came to stay with him in Detroit MI in May 1913.

Draft papers June 5, 1917. Was in US Draft, lived at 45 Carthage (?) in Detroit. Unsure of his DOB. Had 1st citizen papers done. From Mayo, mother and father still living. Was a laborer in Ford City Michigan Michigan Alkalai Warehouse Lost small finger on right hand.

1918 Draft card says Austin McGinn, 25 Cartridge Detroit MI age 33 born 7/15/1885. White, Great Britain, was a riviter at the Ford Ship Yard on River Rouge. Next of kin was Mother Mary Kelly in Westport Ireland.

1920 US Census says that Austin McGinn lived with sister Mary and her husband; emigrated in 1910.
