The question is how does this person fit with the theoretical lineage DNA is proposing? As one of the oldest, he/she could be a sibling to others we know of but are unaware of the sibling relationship. If a Male McGing/McGinn Ging of this line could Y-DNA test at least a 37 (but must stress 67 is better) we'd know more and could triangulate back to the shared ancester. Moving earlier in time here is all conjecture, but looking for evidence and DNA is a key piece.

Anthony Flynn was born about 1815. He and Mary McGing were married about 1836.

On the Flynn side my fathers great Grandparents, were Anthony Flynn who married a Mary Mc Ging, they had three sons and two daughters. They were Stephen Flynn, who was born in 1838 and who married A Bridget Schall who was from Kappagh, near Westport. Bridget Sachill died in 1915 and Stephen Flynn in 1907. Patrick Flynn was married to Mary Hefferan from Moneen, Castlebar. Hughie Flynn married Bridget Bourke, Bridget Flynn married Thomas Gibbons from Delvish, Ann Flynn married James Geraghty, from Ayle.

Stephen Flynn was born in 1838. He died in 1907, at age ~69.

Patrick Lavelle was born in 1907 in Westport, Mayo, IrelandG. He and Kathleen Gibbons were married. He died on December 29, 1977, at age ~70, in EnglandG.
