Mr. McCluske was U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and later worked as a technical contractor for the military. For many years, he was self-employed with a lawn care business. He retired from the City of Chesapeake, where he was a Bridge Tender. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Debbie L. McCluske; brothers, Richard, Carl and Gary McCluske; a sister, Andrea; sons, Ben and Brett McCluske, as well as other caring family and friends. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. CLEARFIELD PROGRESS PENNA, MARCH 12, 1964 Stonewood, W.Va - Mrs. Martha Lavada Langenbacher, 81, of Indiana Street, Stonewood, died Friday, March 6, in the Clarksburg, W. Va., hospital. She was born Feb.5 1883, in Ferguson Township, Clearfield County, Pa. a daughter of Ellis and Barbara Barrett McCracken, and at one time resided at Coalport, Pa. She was married to Ralph Langenbacher, who died in Feb. 18, 1942. Surviving are one son, Clarence " Dutch " Langenbacher, of Orlando, Fla., one daughter, Mrs. Charles ( Oneida ) Harold, of Stonewood., two brothers, Samuel McCracken, of Hollidaysburg, Pa., and Miller, of Can?on, N. Y. one sister, Mrs. Gard W. ( Ada ) Shoff Sr., of Madera, Pa., six grandchildren, two of whom she helped reared., and 15 great-grandchildren. One son Ralph, preceded her in death. She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Funeral services were held Monday at the C. M. A. Church here with burial in the Stonewood Cemetery.

John K. Langenbacher, 88, of Crystal River, Fla., passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at his home under the care of his family and HPH Hospice. He was born June 25, 1924, in Clarksburg, W.Va., to Clarence and Rossanna (Stout) Langenbacher. He came here 30 years ago from St. Petersburg. He was a retired restaurateur having owned several restaurants in Orlando in the 1960's. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and was a recipient of the Purple Heart after his destroyer The USS Thatcher was hit by a kamikaze plane in the Asiatic Pacific. He was a Catholic and a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Crystal River.
His loving wife of 60 years Betty Jane Langenbacher preceded him in death May 12, 2004. Surviving are his two sons, Mark Langenbacher of Oahu, HI and Michael Langenbacher of Crystal River; two daughters, Pat Garskof of Crystal River and Rossanna Sokolosky of Connecticut; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Private services and burial will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home Crystal River.
