Came to England with family, used McGinn. (Research):I can find no Brian/Bryan who were married to a Mary and so have listed these folks as a unit until I can place them in a family. October 9, 1904 Delia McGing, age 20 and listed as single, arrived in New York City on the ship Cedric, having sailed steerage from Queenstown. Westport is listed as her place of residence. She came with $4 and was listed as a servant. Her destination was New York, where she stayed with her cousin, Delia Kelly, 406 E 66th St., New York. (See October 9, 1904, October 22, 1904, October 27, 1904, May 16, 1908 and May 30, 1914, people were again at this address)
Listed as a widow when she married Edgar. (Research):My grandmother was Delia McGing and she came from County Mayo, according to my dad, John Allen, who is now deceased. She came over on the Cedric and met her cousin by the same name as hers. She also had a sister who was a nun. I do not have much information, but am trying to find out what I can. She married my grandfather, Edgar Allen, from Peaks Island in 1907. What was your grandfather's siblings names? Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you again. Jeanne (Allen) Meuse.

Based on this and the ships records, this links to this James McGing and Mary Ann Kelly family perfectly. THere is even a Derrig connection so it ticks off a lot of the boxes. The MC is discrepant, but this other evidence is strong.

The question is how does this person fit with the theoretical lineage DNA is proposing? As one of the oldest, he/she could be a sibling to others we know of but are unaware of the sibling relationship. If a Male McGing/McGinn Ging of this line could Y-DNA test at least a 37 (but must stress 67 is better) we'd know more and could triangulate back to the shared ancester. Moving earlier in time here is all conjecture, but looking for evidence and DNA is a key piece.

Unknown and Michael McGing were married. She died before 1888.
