Mabel Ida Felkner, 87, of Westminster, died Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at BridgingLife Dove House. Born August 12, 1934 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Mabel (Kurtz) Gerwig and John P. Gerwig. She was the wife of the late John Felkner.

Before retiring she worked as a cashier at Giant. She enjoyed attending Uniontown Bible Church and loved her dog Angel May. Her greatest joy was her family, and she was looking forward to the birth of her 12th great-grandchild this Spring.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law John Felkner, Jr. and wife Donna of Union Bridge; grandchildrenVincent "Tony" Geppi, Angie Geppi, Trevor Felkner (Brittany), Skylar Felkner (Megan), 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Loretta Geppi, a grandson, a nephew and her 8 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Uniontown Bible Church, 4272 Watson Lane, Union Bridge, MD 21791. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to BridgingLife Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.

He never married, is mentioned in the 1901 Census, then it seems he went off to U.S.A . made some money and returned to Westport, where we meet him living with his mother in the Census of 1911, at the corner of Mill Street/High Street where he bought a pub.
