THE death has taken place recently at the District Hospital, Swinford, of Mary Treacy, (nee McGing), Lower Charles Street, Castlebar. Mary, who was a native of Kinuary, was born on January 23, 1924. After completing her national school education she worked in domestic service. She married Tom Treacy in 1943 and went to live in Newport, where she spent her time bringing up her four children, Mary, Patrick, Jimmy and Tommy. Mary was a devoted mother and enjoyed her apostolic work in Newport Church.
