An old relation told me they (the daughters and their Morrin husbands) were related and that Riocard used to meet them, his relatives, on market day in Ballinrobe and a match was made for the eldest girl.
She brought her sister there later on. We have a lot of distant relations in Castletown and around it. (Research):1901 Irish Census

Biography
Sarah Morrin was born in 1816. She and
Tom Michael Lydon were married No records found.
We know Riocard had a sister married in Bun a Chnuick (Bunachrick). She was known as Sow Ni Mhuirrean or Sarah Morrin. She was married to Tom Micheal Lydon grandfather and her daughter was married to Myles Joyce who was wrongfully hanged for the Maamtrasna murder. The people of this area and far beyond it know well Myles Joyce was innocent. Many, many years ago, my neighbor Mick Paidin came in and handed me an envelope. "Keep that you" he said They are Myles Joyce's last words. All that is in Fr. Waldron's book. The words were "Ta me ag imeacht. Ta me ag imeach. Ni raibh larch no cos agam ann. Ta me chom neamh chiontach leis an leanamh nar rugadh go foil. Go mhoir Dia ar mo bhean is mo chlann." ["I will see Jesus Christ in a short while - he too was unjustly hanged ... I am going ...God help my wife and her five orphans"]. Her fifth child was born the morning he was executed and when she was able, she went to Galway and mourned and cried for nine days at the gates of Galway jail for her husband The Cathedral is built on the site now. There is a memorial in the grounds to the people who died in in jail. I saw it, and said a few prayers. It was so sad.
DOB of 1816 is just a guess based on sibling. (Research):Aunt May said "You know Richard (Morrin) had a sister Tom Micul Sowes grandmother and Honor Micil Sowes grandmother. Paddy Dolan who is married to Nuala is her great great grandson.
So If I can get the family data for the Dolans, I can connect Nuala's husband to the family :)
To put this into context, this sister, Sarah Morrin, had 2 children. The girl, Bridget married Myles Joyce. The son, Michael Lydon had children and that line leads to Aunt May's daughter's (Nuala) husband, Pat Dolan. Gr Gr Grandson of Michael Lydon. I just can't finr the records to make this connection.

Biography
Tom Michael Lydon was born in 1816. He and

DOB a guess based on spouse. (Research):There are downstream dna matches that kind of work if this man is linked in as a son of Roger Lydon - it allows some people to be related to us via my mom and dad both.
This is a theory and if later data shows it's leading us wrong, we will diconnect this linkage.
I have n o records to sdupport this theory, just that some dna matching works if this is linked. But seriously, just a theory.
The big issue is this is a paternal link and most of teh Lydons are maternal links for me, but I cannot figure out how to link this family group to the Mary Lyson who married Martin Connoboy.

Biography
Bridget Lydon was born in 1836. She and
Myles Joyce were married. She died in 1889, at age ~53.
Aunt May said : "Bridget's mother was known as Sow Ni Mhuirrean or Sarah Morrin. She was married to Tom Micheal Lydon (Pat Dolan's gr gr gr grandfather) and her daughter was married to Myles Joyce who was wrongfully hanged for the Maamtrasna murder."
This is that daughter.
But after lengthy discussions with a researcher for the book and movie Maantrasna, he showed me non-public letters that make it clear it is unlikely that Myles wife was our Bridget Lydon. I won't rule it out but it's seems very unlikely.
Dad worked with Myles grandson and he said his grandpa was innocent. He wasn't there. The neighbors didn't like him and said he did it. It was Mary Wards grandfather and great grandfather that planned it and the son-in-law that did the shooting. Dad thought that it was his great grandmothers sister who was married to him. There were a lot of Casey's involve too. I remember being at the Joyce's house and that was where the murders took place. (Research):The names and DOBs for the kids are a guess - I found BCs in Galway and Mayo that had Myles or Miles and Bridget Lydon/Lyden. Clonbur is also right. But Myles is also a form of Michael, and do I included these girls just because it appeared likely.
Served 2 weeks in jail for "intimidating a Crown witness" in 1883. Wish we could find the records?

Hanged in the Mamnstrassna Murders
The prison register said he was 40, making yob 1842, but plot says 1837. But register also says brother was born 1837, so maybe they are mixed. But as non-English speakers, one may think there are errors all around going on here.
This is not him but a similarly named man married to Mary Cusak, per a gr gr crandchild. JUst to eliminate any future confusion.

Parents
Biography
Peter Morrin was born in 1829 in Sraheen, Mayo, Ireland
G.
The Conroys in Greenaun are also related and the old woman that was married to Steophan Maire Seoighe in Cappaduff was a first cousin to Richard and a first cousin to my father's mother Nappy.
Her father was Riocard's brother. That woman's daughter lived until a year ago. I visited her once and asked her about her grandfather or how was it that he was 'in Kilbride. She said "He had to go somewhere when Riocard put him out of the Place." Her mother often told her they should have that place. So, it seems he was land hungry, land grabber as it was known then. Her grandfather is buried right beside the Morrin grave. That explained to me how we had Gurteens the common age up near Barr a TSleibhe (Churchfield). It wasn't in with the rest of the land at all.
DOB just a guess based on siblings
Per teh above, this unnamed brother was in KIlbride.
Houses 7. 15 and 18 had Morrins in it. One candidate might be, if he was alive in 1901,
